the real bird in photo is really different from the draw that we can find on the web or in the old book.

Hallole,

MfG,
Steffi

Hello Aurelien Lequoy,

are you a member of the "ILSD"? Only members have that "appendix" below their nickname.

Greetings,
Steffi

P.S. My question above was: I wonder, what kind of Munia is showed on Katies website next to the Lonchura/Munia castaneothorax?

I am a member of ILSD it's why i ask it, look in the members or ask Jenny or Carmen. But I think I registered on this forum before to be a member of ILSD.

Well it's simple it's one Lonchura castaneothorax ramsayi looking like a male, found on south of PNG. I have some photos of them, but impossible to remember where I put them.

Hello Aurélien,
I have looked in the Member-Liste, and you are right! You are member of ILSD.
I have given you free in the Forum as "ILSD Mitglied".
Sorry the trouble.

It is very beautiful pictures you have in the Forum. Perhaps some of those birds will come to Europe. I hope so!

Hello again,

Peter acted very fast and gave you the right "status" as a member of the ILSD.

It´s not the Lonchura castaneothorax I´m interested in, it´s the other one. The bigger black Lonchura on the right side.
With the very yellow wings (I don´t think, that the wings have that intensive yellow colour naturally, or do they?)

Kind regards,
Steffi

Ah it's a Lonchura grandis grandis, just an overexposure I guess. Found in south of PNG too

Hallo Peter,

MfG,
Steffi
